Located at the base of the magnificent Rift Valley Wall, this activity provides unparalleled panoramic vistas of the surrounding lake and the dramatic Rift Valley landscape.

 2. LAKE MANYARA TREETOP WALK (CANOPY) The Manyara Treetop Walkway takes you on a sky-high adventure above the beautiful forest. Walk among the treetops and experience untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. This 370m air walk starts with a short board-walk that gradually rises from ground level up through the canopy of the forest. You walk over a series of suspension bridges with thick netting on the sides, and reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges end on a viewing deck situated around tree trunks. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy the life of the canopy amongst butterflies, monkeys and birds. During this walk guides will point out interesting facts about the Lake Manyara flora and fauna, while you can enjoy a unique birds-eye view of the world around you. This is Tanzania's first Treetop Walkway and one of the longest in Africa. A great outdoor activity for nature lovers and adventure seekers. Get ready for an experience you will never forget!

3. VILLAGE NATURE GUIDED WALKING SAFARI: Accompanied by your local guide go for a cultural experience and nature walking safari. Mto wa Mbu village is thought to be one of the only places in Tanzania where there are representatives from all 120 tribes living happily side by side. Although the name translates as ‘Mosquito River’, due to the permanent water source in the village, we might have and will help you to gain an understanding of the inner workings of this typical Tanzanian community.

 4. MOUNTAIN BIKING TO THE LAKE SHORE: Experience local cultures from your bike on a 3-hour mountain bike ride through the farming village of Mto wa Mbu. You visit local farms, schools, church, milling machine, a local bar and enjoy the sights and sounds of this vibrant village. Cycle to the lake shore where there are stunning vistas of the lake, the Rift Valley Wall and small herds of wildlife. The ride is on fairly flat single tracks outside of the National Park. Ideal to do on the way in or out of Manyara National Park.
